From 19th to 24th March the Vancouver Fashion Week took place. It is one of the most important fashion events of North America that brings together a fresh kind of art, creativity and a different variety of cultures from all around the world, since Japan, China, Switzerland, Finland, South Africa, Ukraine, Colombia, Mexico, India. The collections are, in fact, an expression of multiculturalism, actually what characterizes Canada. I'm going to show you the lines I appreciated most, you will notice soon a certain difference between the official fashion we are used to see during the NY, London, Milan or Paris FW, those ones are most colorful, bold and with an own mood: almost a symbol of important values as peace and the acceptance of who is different from us.
In particular, Well Groomed designs caught my eye: the Indian guy behind them is Dave Singh, he was inspired by the Mughal Empire to create a collection that called "Musa", where blend handmade embroideries with occidental woven, the result is a rich explosion of colors, traditions and beauty, in my opinion something unusal in the classic fashion industry. The show must have been so enchanting and joyous :)
